Delegation of ES “Aýdyň Gijeler” participated in a meeting in Rome
On October 23, 2025, a meeting took place in Rome, Italy, between representatives of Turkmenistan, the Slovak Republic, the company MicroStep-MIS, and UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. From Turkmenistan, the meeting was attended by the delegation of ES “Aýdyň Gijeler,” led by the General Director of the enterprise. The event was held at the Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel and had a working, preliminary character — the parties discussed potential areas of cooperation and outlined mutual interests within the framework of the project for the construction of Hydrometeorological Centers for the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan. The meeting was attended by: • Her Excellency Ms. Karla Matiaško Wursterová, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Italy; • Ms. Zuzana Lopatníková, Economic Diplomat of the Embassy of Slovakia in Rome; • Mr. Abdul Razakov, Business Development Director for CIS countries, MicroStep-MIS spol. s r.o. (Slovakia); • Representatives of UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. — in an online format. During the discussion, the parties addressed key issues of possible partnership, including: • implementation of an export contract for the construction of Hydrometeorological Centers in Turkmenistan; • financing options under a Buyer’s Credit scheme with insurance coverage from EXIM BANKA Slovakia; • organization of technical cooperation and training of Turkmen specialists. As a result of the negotiations, all participants expressed mutual interest in implementing the project. UniCredit Bank confirmed its readiness to consider participation in project financing, while MicroStep-MIS presented technical documentation and expressed readiness for technological cooperation. The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Rome expressed its support for further interaction between the parties and for coordination of official correspondence. At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding and an official letter from UniCredit Bank confirming its interest in participating in the project were presented. The delegation of ES “Aýdyň Gijeler” noted the constructive and productive nature of the discussions, which became an important step towards strengthening international partnerships and promoting Turkmenistan’s advanced technological solutions on the global stage.
